    Filter a Jira board without writing JQL

    BetterBoard’s filter bar narrows the board through field, operator, and value pickers. No query language is required.

    How to filter without JQL

    1. Open the filter bar

      Section titled “Open the filter bar”

      Select Filter in the board toolbar.

    2. Choose a field

      Section titled “Choose a field”

      Select Add filter, then choose a field such as Assignee, Sprint, Priority, or Labels.

    3. Set the condition

      Section titled “Set the condition”

      Choose an operator such as is, is not, is any of, or is empty, then select a value.

    4. Refine the view

      Section titled “Refine the view”

      Add more filters as needed; BetterBoard combines them with AND logic.

    Filter by dates

    Section titled “Filter by dates”

    Choose a date field such as Due Date. You can select a relative date or timeframe, such as Today or This week, or open Specific dates… to choose a fixed day or range.

    Relative choices move with the calendar; specific dates stay fixed. Use on, before, or after with one day, and is within for a range.
