# Filter a Jira board without writing JQL

BetterBoard's filter bar narrows the board through field, operator, and value pickers. No query language is required.

## How to filter without JQL

### Open the filter bar

Select **Filter** in the board toolbar.

### Choose a field

Select **Add filter**, then choose a field such as Assignee, Sprint, Priority, or Labels.

### Set the condition

Choose an operator such as **is**, **is not**, **is any of**, or **is empty**, then select a value.

### Refine the view

Add more filters as needed; BetterBoard combines them with AND logic.
