# Show custom fields on Jira board cards

In BetterBoard, choosing what shows on a card is a toggle. Turn fields on or off and see the cards update live.

## How to show fields on cards

### Open card layout

Open the card layout panel.

### Turn on the fields

Turn on the fields you need, such as story points, due date, components, or a custom field.

### Review the cards

Review the live card preview and keep the fields that help this board.

> **Tip:** BetterBoard reads Jira fields directly, so a multi-space board can offer custom fields from its included spaces.
